MANGO IS PENDING ADOPTION! Available for adoption to permanent residents of Washington state. Mango is a White Eyed Conure. Mango has not been DNA sexed, so gender is unknown. Mango is a plucker, as you can see from the picture to the left. This picture does NOT do Mango justice, and we will be posting a much better picture soon. Mango is an absolute little love! If you want a small bird with a big bird's personality, then Mango might be for you! Mango will 'kiss' on command, 'Give Mama a Kiss'. Mango will squawk if you make kissing noises. She loves to snuggle and cuddle, loves to play with hair, and loves to sit on your shoulder and ride around, or even on top of your head! Mango does great around other animals and children. Mango is currently one of our featured 'Parrot Ambassadors' at the events we have been attending over the summer. Very loving and playful. Mango does have some separation anxiety, but it is most noticed when she is in an unknown location (not familiar) or the situation is unfamiliar, and WILL squawk if you attempt to leave her in that situation. She would not do well in an apartment, condo, duplex, etc. as Conures can be quite loud, even though Mango is very quiet for a Conure. Mango needs someone she can pal around with and get snuggles from. Mango comes with her favorite perch, and all her favorite toys. Mango's adoption includes an educational CD-ROM, an adoption certificate, and everything we have compiled on Mango since she joined us. What WE know, we want YOU to know! Available for adoption to permanent Washington State residents only. Chico is a 9 year old male Medium Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. Chico has passed a 90-Day Quarantine period, and has had a well-bird exam (no testing). Chico does well with MALE children, those who understand about appropriate interaction with the birds. Chico's reaction to dogs depends upon the size and personality/hyperness of the dog. Medium sized dogs who are quiet and won't get into Chico's face will do best. It is unknown how Chico would do around cats. Chico should NOT go to a home in an apartment complex/condo/duplex- he can be very loud. His vocalizations are ... He was severely abused by a woman in his past, and we've had great difficulty trying to earn his trust as a gender. He does great with men and boys, males of all ages. Chico is not typically a biter towards males, though he occasionally nips- though his body language should be watched to prevent nipping/biting. Chico is an aggressive biter when it comes to females, doesn't matter the age. Chico loves attention, and loves just 'hanging out' with you. Chico would do best with a male gay couple without children. Chico comes with all his favorite toys and his favorite perch. At this time, for an additional small donation fee, a cage set up can also be provided for an addition $ 100 (which includes cage, 2 perches, feed & water dishes, and 1 additional toy).
